Time Flies

It has been a busy few weeks and with us being gifted some pretty amazing weather, I’ve been hard pressed to find any desire to come inside, much less sit in front of the laptop. Today, the weather shifted and it was not only rainy, but also chilly and seemed more like Fall. I did manage to duck out between rain showers and get in good 5 mile work out- so that was the silver lining. I’m on day 18 of Whole 30, and I am feeling fabulous.

I am finally back in my work out groove and adding the Whole 30 for an extra reset is the boost I needed. Bring on London! I’ll be ready!

Have Guitar will Travel

When you are a music lover and are traveling what do you do? You hit up guitar center dallas to see what they have to offer. Personally, if you know me then you know that I don’t play any musical instruments, but that’s exactly what my guitar playing friend recently did when he found himself in Dallas on business. He even found a few favorites that he’s trying to decide whether to wait a while or to pick one up for his upcoming 40th birthday bash. Either way, I know once he gets it- we will all be enjoying his new muse.

Spring Cometh

Filed under: Food for Thought,Life,Seasons — gardener @ 10:18 am

Even though there is still quite a chill to the air, and with today’s rain it’s downright cold- I can see signs of Spring everywhere.  I’ve been getting out a lot to try to get in more daily exercise and the crocus are starting to bloom, daffodils are blooming, plus I’m seeing life in the forms of new growth on the trees and shrubs that have been bare for quite some time.   It brings me joy.    Something I hear people asking quite a lot is what a persons favorite season is.

I am someone who fully loves each season for all that it has to share.  I see each one as a gift and when they start to ‘unwrap’, it is always a great source of joy for me.

The daylight hours are getting longer each day and that in itself brings me a lot of joy.   It seems like a time of new beginnings, change, and possibilities.

What brings you joy?

Moroccan Berber Rugs in Your Residence

Filed under: Home — gardener @ 10:10 am

A beautiful living space can make you feel good about yourself. It can give you extra confidence. It can also impress any guests who come your way. If you want to design a home that oozes appeal, there are certain components that may be able to help you achieve your goal. Moroccan Berber rugs are one such example. If you want your home to look modern, exotic and fresh at the exact same time, traditional rugs made by the Beni Ourain peoples of North Africa are exactly what you need. Moroccan Berber rugs are the perfect combination of contemporary and timeless. That’s why they’re the ideal home design elements for people who lead fast-paced and busy lifestyles. They’re versatile. They’re so many different things all wrapped into one!

A Beni Ourain rug in your home can contribute to a look that’s endlessly inviting. Berber rugs feature sharp and geometric designs that look like nothing else you’ve seen before. Although they’re steeped in tradition and the past, they also have distinctly modern feels. This may be due to their geometric patterns. If you like the idea of a handwoven rug that’s full of diamonds and other meaningful symbols, you can’t go wrong with these stunning Berber rugs.

These rugs are amazingly resilient. That’s exactly why they can work well in so many types of households. If you’re a single professional who has no children but who regularly invites guests over for dinner and general gatherings, you’ll love how strong and dependable these rugs are. Moroccan Berber rugs can tolerate a lot. They can tolerate significant foot traffic on a daily basis. That’s also why they’re so great for parents who have energetic children in their homes. If you’re the parent of a rambunctious three year-old, you won’t have to worry about the little guy damaging your gorgeous rug in any way. That’s true freedom.

Moroccan Berber rugs also feel absolutely wonderful. If you’re sick of walking on rugs that feel hard, stiff and just plain uncomfortable, a Moroccan Berber rug will make a superb change of pace for you. These rugs are incredibly soft. They make the feet feel like royalty. They’re also nice and warm. If you dislike nothing more than walking around on floors that feel cold, you won’t be able to resist all of your Beni Ourain options. These rugs are rapidly gaining momentum everywhere. People are drawn to them for so many diverse reasons. It isn’t at all difficult to keep these rugs in strong condition. They don’t have complex or time-consuming maintenance requirements. People who want to invest in low-maintenance rugs that are beautiful and appealing should take the time to look into these traditional delights today.
