Thankful for Leftovers

Filed under: Food — gardener @ 10:55 am

I cooked a Thanksgiving dinner this past weekend and Marcel and I are still enjoying the leftovers and it’s Tuesday. I know that some people get tired of eating turkey and ham after the holidays, but it’s something I never seem to mind. I guess because it’s something we generally only eat during Thanksgiving and Christmas- but I love it. It also gave me a little bit of a feeling of being home- even when I wasn’t technically home.

Marcel said he could eat it every single day- I couldn’t help but laugh because I’m not sure I would want to do that- but it’s great for now.

  1. I absolutely adore roast turkey. Adore it!!!! But like you, I suggest it is largely because it is a once a year thing. I will be honest, since I have been watching what I eat, turkey has turned up on my menu more often. I have a fantastic recipe for turkey patties that a simply delicious, and have gone half /half in pasta sauce instead of all beef, with noone the wiser 😉
