Through The Tulips Words of 'Wiz'dom

Cool Breeze

Filed under: Uncategorized — gardener @ 1:10 pm

I’ve been sitting here with the windows and doors open, enjoying the gorgeous weather. The temps are falling and it’s not cold, but just that perfect ‘cool’ that I love the most. I could sleep with the windows open when it’s like this, but unfortunately my favorite guy can’t stand to sleep with the windows open.

Marcel just got home from work, and he’s on the phone with his sister. They are having a discussion about something, that I haven’t been able to figure out yet, but I’m sure that as soon as he gets off the phone he’ll tell me all about it.

Arghhh, I just remembered that I forgot two things when I was at the grocery store today- light bulbs and Swiffer wet mop refills. I guess that’s what happens when I don’t make a list. I’ll have to start a list right now and add them to it.

On What Counts Most…

We cannot control the past.
We cannot control the future.
What we DO have right in front of us, is TODAY & this very moment …

And it IS what counts the most.
So make the most of it!

I came across these ‘words of wizdom’ a little earlier today, and I couldn’t help but share them.   Often times, we spend so much time looking forward, or living in the past, that we forget to cherish and enjoy what we have- and that’s the right here and now.

I try to make each and every moment count- but I think there is a lesson there for all of us.

My Gratitude List for April 15, 2009.

Today I’m Grateful For:

  • The beautiful bouquet of tulips that Desere brought me this morning.
  • Being able to work from home.
  • Completing a project that I’d been wanting to get finished.
  • The present.
  • Lifes little surprises.
